The Older Americans Act (OAA) is a flexible law that allows states to tailor their programs to meet the needs of the older adults in their states/communities who are in greatest social and economic need. Sometimes people comment that the “OAA nutrition program won’t let us....(fill in the blank)” when in reality there may be no restriction in the OAA that would prohibit that action, or they say “Really? I had no idea that the OAA nutrition program allows....(fill in the blank)”.
